Gear List

The 2012 list is basically the Cannes gear list, with a few alterations. Mainly designed for camping tours in UK, France and similar, rather than far-flung and remote places.

Main changes are dropping out most of the camp cooking gear - might try that another time, but for now it's emergency rations, food bought and eaten during the day, and then eat out the rest of the time.

The navigation and electronics has changed over to iPhone, Dynamo Hub, a new rechargeable battery, and some Busch and Muller bits.  Sounds more complicated, but in practice should be 'simpler' and more practical.  And free power (excluding the ££££ spent to buy al this stuff obviously)

The rest is tweaks.  Like a new hose for my Lezyne pump, which after carrying and not needing for over a year, turned out to be Presta only when I had Shrader valves and a flat tyre to fill!  It sure looked like it worked on both...

It's still being refined, and there are a few bits I'd like to buy.  Helmet cover would be nice.  When it really chucked it down one day it was horrible having all the water going down my back.  The carrier bag I put on my head did the job, but got a bit hot and attracted some interesting looks.  Not my best fashion moment, and luckily there aren't any photo's.
